Big West Festival has taken up residence above the iconic Dancing Dog Café at Level 1, 42 Albert Street in Footscray.
The Big West headquarters not only houses the festival’s office but also offers a rehearsal and meeting rooms for artists and community groups which can be hired on an hourly, daily or weekly basis and two ongoing studio/office spaces.
Our rates are very affordable. We want everyone to use our spaces so we have a sliding scale of rates to suit your budget. Talk to us about your financial situation.
Rehearsal Room
The Rehearsal Room is a large well-lit room with a wooden floor and high ceilings - 9 metres x 5.5 metres, suitable for rehearsals, workshops, creative developments or performances. It is available Mondays – Sundays including after hours. Hiring rates start from $13/hr.

Studio/Office Spaces
We are looking for permanent tenants for two gorgeous office/studio spaces. Located in the Footscray CBD, sharing with Big West Festival office and rehearsal room, these are great spaces for artist studios or small offices for arts-minded organisations.
The building has a security entrance as well as kitchen and bathroom facilities. And best of all - being just down the hall from the Big West office - you'll have the best neighbours on the block.
Studio 1 is 4.3x4m and is $550 per month including electricity.
Studio 2 is 4.5x3m and is $370 per month including electricity.
