Big West Festival, one of Australia’s leading community based contemporary arts festivals, needs your help in the lead up to the 2013 festival.

Big West celebrates the diversity of cultures that makes the western suburbs of Melbourne such a special part of the world.

We develop and present high quality art created by professional artists working with communities or responding to the unique landscape of the west.

We make art accessible by taking it to the people offering free events to enliven the community and connect art with people who might not normally go to a gallery or the theatre.

We engage artists to work with those on the margins, newly arrived to Australia, from diverse backgrounds or the young.

We support the development of new work, provide mentorships to emerging artists and encourage contemporary arts practice that is innovative, playful and vibrant.

Your donation will allow us to connect with artists and communities more deeply, increase the scale and audience for our events and increase the number of artists that we are able to support. Can you help us to realise our dreams?

Your gift will help to ensure Big West Festival continues to grow and flourish with the community of the West and can help in the following ways:

• $25 provides one week’s electricity for the Big West offices and rehearsal space
• $50 provides materials for one children’s puppetry workshop
• $150 supports the mentorship of an emerging artist
• $250 provides distribution of the Big West Program Guide to one suburb, increasing our audience and reach
• $500 provides rehearsal space for a community group to work
• $1,000 supports an artist working with culturally diverse teenagers
• $2,000 supports our ability to offer our outdoor program for free

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and by making a personal or business donation to our Giving Program, you will be recognised in the festival program guide, website and annual report unless you choose to remain anonymous.
